The piece traces the life cycle of an AI-generated plant - from a real seed scanned into Midjourney, to a fictional botanical description written by ChatGPT, and finally to a series of speculative plants visualized through AI. Presented through 270-degree projections accompanied by sound, Germinative AI invites viewers into an alternative botanical world shaped by machine imagination. The work blends nature-inspired aesthetics with technological processes, raising poetic and critical questions: Can AI understand or replicate nature’s intelligence?
